Lance Corporal Tommy Harkness, 240750, 1st/5th Bn. Royal Scots Fusiliers.

Survived injuries received in the Gallipoli Campaign in 1915. Died of wounds 14th November 1917 while serving in Palestine with the 52nd (Lowland) Division in the Egyptian Expeditionary Force. Just a laddie.

Tommy is commemorated in his home town of Girvan, Ayrshire at the war memorials at Stair Park and North Parish Church. Forever in our thoughts.
