ROLL OF HONOUR.

WIGAN LIEUTENANT M.C. KILLED.

Official news has been received that Lieut. William Dobinson, M.C., of the Lancashire Fusiliers, of Wigan, has been killed in action. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Dobinson, of Delph-street, Wigan, and was twenty-eight years of age. He enlisted as a private in the Royal Fusiliers in June, 1915, and after serving seven months at the front was recommended for a commission, which he obtained in July, 1916, being gazetted to the Lancashire Fusiliers. In April, this year, he was awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry in the field. Prior to joining the colours he was associated with Messrs. W. R. Davies and Co., waggon builders, of Ince, Wigan.
