Albert Jackson was born on 2nd February 1897, the son of Ingbirchworth farmer George Jackson and his wife Bertha Ann. Albert was baptised at the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, *****tone on 10th October 1897.  In the 1901 census Albert age 4 and brother Fred age 5 are shown living on the farm with parents George age 31 and Bertha age 34, together with a farm servant Arthur Hanwell. In the 1911 census Albert and his brother Fred were shown as working on their father's farm.
