Edwin Richard Puttick (incorrectly recorded as Edward) was born in 1897 in Hastings to George William and Ruth Puttick. His medal card records him as being in both the Machine Gun Corps (4614) and the Seaforth Highlanders (6040). He was serving with the 56th Machine Gun Corps when he was killed in the Somme on 7th July 1916. he has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval memorial. RIP
