Captain Benjamin Evan Stedman Davies (South Wales Borderers) late of Caerllugest Farm, Llangeitho, Ceredigion, Wales was killed by a German Sniper on the first day of the Third Battle of Ypres (Passchendaele) at Pilkem Ridge on 31/7/17. He has no known grave but is remembered on one of the panels of the Menin Gate Memorial in Ypres as well as on the well kept local memorial monument in his peaceful little home village of Llangeitho in Ceredigion.
