Thomas Nichol Davidson was part of the 5th Cameron Highlanders (Lochiel’s Battalion) who was killed in action in France on September 25th 1915. He was in his 24th year, and was the youngest son of Mr George Davidson, 20 Bridge Street. Private Davidson was at one time employed in the office of Mr Adam LING, Burgh Treasurer. Some time prior to the war he was engaged as a purser’s assistant on a vessel belonging to the Pacific Steamship Company trading on the South American coast.
