Frank Arnold worked for the London and Lancashire Life and General Assurance Association in the London head office. He began working for the company in August 1915 as an inspector, having previously worked for the Prudential. He enlisted in July 1916 and was serving in France as a Private in the Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) 6th or 1st Battalion when he died, aged 40. The notice of his death in the Post Magazine ends:" his loss is deeply regretted".
