1/5th Royal Scots, who was killed in action at Gallipoli on 2nd May, 1915. He was a son of Mr George Wood, 3 Laidlaw Terrace, and was 19 years of age, having enlisted in September 1914. Pte. Wood took part in the landing on *****ula. Previous to joining the Army he was a telegraph clerk on the N.B. Railway.
