No. 2757, Lance-Corporal, 6th Seaforth Highlanders ; born at Crook of Alves, Parish of Alves, 15th May, 1895 ; joined at Elgin, October, 1914 ; served in France and Belgium ; killed at Beaumont Hamel, France, 13th November, 1916. Son of John and Margaret Cassels, Crook of Alves.
