George Simpson Cameron. You were my Great Uncle and a hero. You served in the Black watch Royal highlanders Dundee and Angus. Your career started aged 16 enlisting in Aberdeen your home town in 1914. You served in France and Flanders as a private for four years. Sadly you were reported missing or dead on the 21st March 1918, your remains were never recovered. The British cemetery in Pozieres France is where you are commemorated your death being recorded as the 1st April 1918. I was lucky enough to visit the cemetery on the 30th of July this year the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Great War. It was an honour to pay my respect to you, how I wish I had known you. Thankyou for giving your life for me our family and for my fellow man. Lest we forget
