My dear Grand Uncle Charles, eldest of 9 children, living in a small cottage house in the high street Girton, Cambridge.  Brave throughout the war and sadly lost his life 2 months before the end, we as a family are so proud and grateful for allowing us to lead such a wonderful life.  I will as always be visiitng Girton on the 11th to pay my respects to you and your cousin Horace William Asplen .
