Percy was my great uncle. He suffered from a gas attack and was sent home. Upon his recall to the front line he spoke to his mother and said I shall not return home again. You will find me buried in a field in France. He was killed in action and is indeed buried in a field on France. We can only imagine what horrors he saw and experienced.
