The medals of Private F.J. Betteridge, of the Welch Regiment, now reside with the A.L. Betteridge family. They were sent posthumously to Mrs M. E. Betteridge by the Record Office, Shrewsbury, on 30th June, 1922. To lose a son, brother or husband in such circumstances is beyond words. We and all our descendants must always remember the price paid by so many young men and their families. Ashley Betteridge
