:Albert was a corporal in the 2nd Battalion Lancashire Fusilier's he was the only son, with 5 sisters, of James Edward and Ann Chadwick  of 53 Water Street Rochdale. He was killed on the Somme on the 12th October 1916 aged 19. His remains were never found and he is commemorated on the Theipval Memorial in France. memorial in Picardy
