Private Arthur Larkins Lincolnshire regiment was married to my Grandma (Florrie Knight). He died on 8th June 1917 after receiving a shrapnel wound to the neck .

Grandma never mentioned Arthur and I never knew that she had been previously married, she'd kept her marriage to Arthur very quiet, perhaps the memories were too sad for her. Grandma married my grandad Walter Boothby who was also a soldier in the Lincolnshire regiment WW1. Luckily for me he

survived the war.
