Isaac's Grandaughter Margaret was always unable to find any information about him before she passed away, but as a family we will remember him, and make sure our children and their children after remember him too. Isaac enlisted in 1912, the year his daughter Edith (my great grandmother) was born. He was part of the 2nd Battalion of the Worcestershire Regiment. He was killed on the 26th September 1917 aged 29. I believe, during the battle of Polygon Wood. Before he left for war, his wife Rachel was against him going, but he was determined. So he lovked her and his children in the kitchen, and took sixpence from her purse, and that was the last she saw of him. I will always think of him as a brave man, who fought for his country, and the freedom we have today. I am extremely proud to have him as part of my history.
