YET ONE MORE HERO!
My Granddad, James Battle Ritchie, worked as a Ticket Officer at Piccadilly Station, Manchester. He enrolling in the British Army serving in the 90th Infantry Brigade, 17th Battalion Manchester Regiment, D Company. He was killed in action on 23 April 1917 at Henin, during the battle of Arras - his body was never found. His name is on the Arras Memorial at Faubourg-D Amiens Cemetery, Arras, France.
