Robert Blackhall Walker was a bricklayer from Morpeth with an older brother George and a younger brother Billy. His parents were Thomas, a plumber and Jane (nee Blackhall) who had been a teacher at Morpeth Borough school.

My grandmother, his cousin, remembered him as 'a decent chap'. His loss was sadly mourned and he is commenorated on the Morpeth war memorial.

Not forgotten.
