Although my dad was only five in 1914, he had fond memories of his Uncle Frank, who was seventeen when he went away to fight. He had a photo of him, which I now have. It says on the back: "Our Frank – Killed Hill 60 1915". This is different from the official record, which says that he was killed at the age of 20 on 13 November 1916, which would have been the last day of the battle of the Somme,
