Leonard Charles was a Jewellers Assistant and a Patrol Leader for the 4th St Alban's Scout Troop from St Albans, Hertfordshire. Captain in the 10th Lancashire Fusiliers, formerly 1st Herts Regt. wounded at Arras; killed in action at St. Quentin His younger brother, Claude Henry, died at St Julien in 1917.
