Sidney J Rowden (killed 1918 age 24) and Robert Adams Rowden (killed 1917 age 22)were the two sons of John Rowden and Sarah Adams Rowden of Berry Pomeroy near Totnes. After the War, Sarah Rowden came to Birmingham to visit her cousin Stanley Loosemore who was injured twice in the War. She brought special presents for Stanley's children - one of the children was my mother who never forgot this act of generosity at a time of terrible grief.
