Albert Squires of Allen Street, Worksop enlisted in August 1914. He was the son of Elizabeth and stepson of Frederick Savage. A former regular soldier who had left the army nine years previously, he was in the Reserve and recalled immediatley war broke out.  He was aged 31 years of age.
