My Great Uncle Milton didn't want to go to war: he was a farmer, not a fighter - but when he was called up in 1915, he did his duty to king and country. He was killed in action in the Somme in January 2016. His brother - my grandpa - continued to run the farm, married and had 8 children (one who died as a baby) and 14 grandchildren. We will not forget the sacrifice that Milton made so that all of us could live long and happy lives, and enjoy the English countryside he loved so much.
