My great uncle William Harris was born in Shrewsbury in 1898, and was known to my grandmother Margaret as "our Billy"  he enlisted at Copthorne Barracks Shrewsbury ( a place I know well) in May 1915 and died on 29 Sept 1915 aged 17.  He is imagined to have died just as the 5 KSLI were being relieved.  He is still missing and has no known grave.
