This is about Hector James McPherson, known as James or Jim. I have a photo of him as a small boy and will try to download this later. His father, my great grandfather,  was born in Dava, Morayshire, in 1850 and was recruited by the Life Guards (The Blues) in London. Later he set up McPhersons Gymnasium in Sloane Street, London. Here he and at least some of his children, including my grandfather (Frederick McPherson), taught swordsmanship and other skills. (Written by Ian McPherson 25.09.2015 - to be expanded.
