Lance Corporal Gladstone Fox was a soldier of the 2nd Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment.On 21st March 1918 the Germans launched an offensive called "Kaiserschlacht" (Kaisers battle).The Lincolnshires became involved in fierce fighting at the battle of St Quentin (21st - 23rd March), and the battle of Bapaume (24th - 25th March ).Gladstone was wounded in action and evacuated to Rouen where he died of his injuries shortly afterwards on 27th March 1918 aged 19.Gladstone is buried at St.Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France.
