I have been handed down a large box of My Great Uncle's letters and other personal items from his service in Egypt in WW1. Harry Frizzell was born in Dorset 1895 and was attached to the 767 B Squadron until his death in action on 26th February 1916, aged just 21 years. Great Uncle Harry was in the Cavalry and died during a charge. His horse was shot from beneath him and he was shot whilst on foot. His personal documents were stolen by the soldier who shot him and were later discovered when he too died. Harry's documents were recovered from the soldier which bear a hole from the bullet that killed him. I feel his story is an important one for both us as a family but also for the nation. I feel very proud of my Great Uncle for his bravery and courage and would be delighted to share all of the many photographs, personal letters and documents.
