Gt Uncle Arthur emigrated to Canada with his wife and infant son. When war broke out Arthur was one of the first to enlist coming back to England in the first wave of Canadian troops October 1914. He was injured and sent back to the UK. He was shipped aboard the HMhS Anglia which was torpedoed as they were entering Dover harbour. This was the first time a hospital ship was targeted. Many lives were lost including Arthur's. We remember you with pride Your loving family
