Worked at Holkham Hall from 1913  until 3rd September 1913, was listed as a hall boy.

He enlisted at Norwich on 5th September 1914. He was in the 1/4th Battalion Norfolk Regiment, which was a Territorial unit and Albert may have served as a part-time soldier before the war. He embarked from Liverpool on the S.S. Aquitania en route for the Dardenelles at the end of July 1915. Whilst serving in Gallipoli he became unwell and was evacuated to Malta. He died on 1st October 1915 of Enteric Fever aged 19.
