My husbands grandmother told him that her brother had died i n the first world war. For many years I have been searching. She did not say he had emigrated to Canada where upon the start of the 1st world war he had enlisted into the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles. He died in 1916. He was never found so his name is remembered on the Ypres Menin Gate.

At last another story of our family 1st world war dead has at last been discovered and can be told with honour!!!
