George is the uncle of my father Sydney. Georges brother Horrace went to Australia with his sisters after the war. Another of Georges brothers, Alfred Henry, died at the battle of Jutland on HMS Invincible. George was denied permission to return to England to attend the funeral of his father Thomas.
