James was born in Sunbury in 1890, so age 25 when killed. Sadly one of his younger brothers - Private 63651 Richard William PIZZEY who was only age 18 was also killed during World War 1 and also commemorated on this site.
They were two of ten children born to James and Martha PIZZEY Nee BARR.
The 1911 census sees them living at Sillwoods Cottages, Nursery Road, Sunbury with their Parents and siblings. Their Father James was a Haybinder as was James Thomas whilst young Richard was still at school.
