About 10 years ago I decided to look up the names of people who died in the Great War. I was 27 at the time and I put my own name into the search. There were "C Maguire's" and "C J Maguire's" but only one Charles John Maguire which is the same name I was christened. When I clicked on the fallen soldiers name I was surprised to see he was 27 when he died. A coincidence. Then I was shocked to see that he was from the same town in Ireland that I am from. My jaw dropped. I have never been able to find out any more about him. He is not my relation and the town land of Burnettstown where he was from is not known either. Maybe it was misspelt! Anyway I'm glad I found him and maybe some higher force was directing me towards him. I hope to travel and visit his grave this year. He will be dead 100 years this October. I wonder if anyone has ever visited his grave before. Rest in peace Charles.
