Harry, as one Harry to another, I do not know the circumstances of your death, nor why your remains were not recovered from the field of battle, but I can still salute you as the brave soldier you undoubtedly were, who died in the service of his country. You were commemorated on the Menin Gate with so many hundreds of your fellow Lincolns. As a former Lincolns man myself, I know the sincere meaning of the Last Post, sounded in your honour by the buglers at the Menin Gate. My sympathy to your widow and to other relatives who mourned your sacrifice. Rest in Peace. Harry.
