Albert, I am not aware of the circumstances of your death, but I can still salute you as a brave NCO who died while serving his country. I too served in the Lincolns, but it was in peacetime, not in wartime, as you had to do. I trust that the Depot provided you with a Guard of Honour at your funeral, who fired the traditional salute to a fallen comrade. My sympathy to your widow and other relatives who mourned your sacrifice. Rest in Peace. Harry.
