George, as a former member of the Lincolns, I am very happy to be given this opportunity to salute you as a brave young soldier who died in the service of his country. I do not know the circumstances of your death, but I sincerely hope that you had a Guard of Honour at your funeral service, who fired the traditional salute to a fallen comrade.
