5 RAOC soldiers killed on 5th December 1918 after the armistice.. RAOC advise possibility that they were killed clearing the battlefields of unexploded ordnance but cannot confirm. Local people erected a locally quarried stone and is inscribed, 1914 - 1918 La Population de Lesssines aux braves soldats Brittaniques. Thanks to the pipers who visited, left a cross of remembrance and played at the graves this year.
