Arthur, you must have been so keen to fight for your country that you were only 17, or was it actually 16 (to allow for basic training and voyage to Gallipoli) when you volunteered to join up. I salute you as the very brave lad you undoubtedly were. I was still a schoolboy at that age. Since your grave is at Suvla you must have been a member of the 6th Service Battalion of the Lincolns and you were the only one of the battalion to die that day. My sympathy to your relatives who mourned your sacrifice. Rest in Peace. Harry.
