I am sorry that I do not know your Christian name, but I can still salute you as a brave soldier who died in the service of his country. Since your grave is at Suvla I am fairly sure that you were a member of the 6th Service Battalion of the Lincolns who landed at Gallipoli in early August 1915. You were the second casualty of the battalion, and the only member of the battalion to perish that day. I trust you had a Guard of Honour at your funeral service who fired the traditional salute to a fallen comrade. My sympathy to your relatives who mourned your sacrifice. Rest in Peace. Harry.
