Athur Stuart Nicholson was the younger brother of William Dukinfield Nicholson (middle son), both of Arisaig Estate, Lochaber.  He never married nor had children.  He was survived by his parents and a sister, Charlotte, who also never married.  As the third (but eldest brother) was unfit through 'mental feebleness' to inherit the estate & requiring a 'keeper' all his days until he died in the early 1960's Arisaig Estate eventually passed out of family hands in the late 1950s with the passing of Charlotte Astley-Nicholson.  The Nicholson Curse of the early 1800's indeed came true.
