Tom Bentley  married Elsie in 1913 and went to war in 1914.  Mollie was born on October 25th 1915.  It is unknown whether he ever saw Mollie. He died  in No.49 Casualty Clearing Station, France, on 4th of May, 1917 of  wounds received in action.

His gravestone is found at the Achiet- Le Grand Communal Cemetery Extension, France. (plot 1, row A, grave 5).

There is a memorial to him at the Egerton Cemetery, Huddersfield.
