Walter Henry Skelton was born on 29th May 1882, Chiswick, London to William James and Emily Skelton. He was formerly 72860 R.A.M.C.. Killed by heavy shelling on a 'very quiet day indeed on the front line' near Gheluvelt Wood according to the 6th Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment War Diary. Survived the Battle of the Somme in 1916 in which most of the battallion was lost during the Battle of Arras.
