George like thousands of others left his parents farm in North East Scotland for the first time in his life sadly never to return having given his life in the Great War effort. My grandmother never spoke of the loss of her two brothers and it was only through researching my family tree that I found out about these brave young men.I for one will remember them and will do all in my power to keep their memories alive.
