I don't have a story. I wasn't related to anyone in the war. But I know that if it wasn't for them, I would not be living here with my parents. So here is a poem, just for them.

They sacrificed their lives, they always perservered and tried. They went off to fight, so we could relax, it was our right. They would look up to the sun, which shone bright, And know they were doing it so we could be all right.

They fought for our country and Queen, you should have seen how their teeth beamed, When they made it out the other side, even though it was a rough ride. They took the risk, they did it for us, which is why with God we trust, and our minds and hearts we remember.

We hope they made it safe and have God abiding with them, thank you girls, women, boys and men. You did not die in vain, because of you the world never remained the same.
