Ivor, I know that you were an officer in one of the two Regiments of the Lovat Scouts, who took part in the first phase of the fighting at Gallipoli as dismounted yeomanry. It would have been very strange for you to go into battle as infantrymen, and I am sure that you and your men had a terrible time in the fighting there.  I salute you as the brave soldier you undoubtedly were. I trust that the Guard of Honour at your funeral service fired the traditional salute to a fallen comrade. My sympathy to your relatives who mourned your sacrifice. Rest in Peace. Harry.
