William Chapman (aged 22) was a former member of the 46th Aberdeen Boys' Brigade. He is remembered on memorials at the Aberdeen and District Batallion Headquarters at Crimon Place as well as memorial at South St Nicholas Church, Kincorth.

His brother, Alexander also served. He was a private in the Gordon Highlanders, dying in service at Ypres on 25th September 1915, aged 17.

William along with 4 former members of the 46th Aberdeen Boys' Brigade were remembered at a service at South St Nicholas Church. The current members of the 46th held a drumhead service in their honour.
