Daniel Stone was my great grandfather who died from his wounds and gas poisoning on 1st September 1916 leaving 3 children ophans.  My grandmother Caroline Edith Stone and her 2 brothers George Stone and Charles Stone were placed in the care of Dr Barnardos.  The two brothers were subsequently sent to Canada and never saw their sister again.
