Neil, I read that both regiments of the Lovat Scouts served as dismounted yeomanry at Gallipoli before they amalgamated after you had died, and your old comrades then served as an infantry battalion in Salonika. Gallipoli must have been a terrible time for you all, and I salute you as a brave soldier who lost his life in the service of his country. I guess there would not have been much opportunity for you to use your trumpet in the thick of the fighting. I trust that the Guard of Honour at your funeral service fired the traditional salute to a fallen comrade. My sympathy to your parents and otherĀ relatives who mourned your sacrifice. Rest in Peace. Harry.
