Sam, knowing that you were commemorated on the Helles Memorial, and the fact that you died on 23rd July, makes me pretty certain that you were a member of the 7th Battalion, who died in the fighting at Cape Hellas which lasted until your comrades, who included a distant cousin of mine, left for Suvla Bay on the 5th of August. It is sad that you were not with them. Sam, I salute you as the brave soldier you undoubtedly were, who died in the service of your country. My sympathy to your relatives who mourned your sacrifice. Rest in Peace. Harry.
