Patrick, I believe you served in the 7th Battalion of the North Staffords, which was also the unit in which a distant cousin of mine served. I came to this conclusion by taking into account the date of your death and the fact that you were commemorated on the Helles Memorial. Your unit took part in the assault on Suvla Bay, Gallipoli, and experienced severe hand-to-hand fighting. So many of you died during this hectic three days. I salute you as a brave soldier who died fighting for his country. My sympathy to your relatives who mourned your sacrifice. Rest in Peace. Harry.
